Statistical theory of Internet exploration.
The general methodology used to construct Internet maps consists in merging all the discovered paths obtained by sending data packets from a set of active computers to a set of destination hosts, obtaining a graphlike representation of the network. This technique, sometimes referred to as Internet tomography, spurs the issue concerning the statistical reliability of such empirical maps. We tack...

15 صفحه اولMedia Richness and Internet Exploration
Previous research found that media richness is associated with positive evaluation of a web site. An experiment was carried out where participants were instructed to explore a web site presenting a popular town: Venice. According to a random distribution, participants were exposed (or not) to street-sounds when exploring the web site and had the possibility to control (or not) the photography (...
متن کاملThe Quantum Statistical Mechanical Theory of Transport Processes
A new derivation of the quantum Boltzmann transport equation for the Fermion system from the quantum time evolution equation for the wigner distribution function is presented. The method exhibits the origin of the time - irreversibility of the Boltzmann equation. In the present work, the spin dependent and indistinguishibility of particles are also considered.
متن کاملInternet-Based Exploration of Remote Sites
This paper describes a telepresence system for remote site exploration allowing both real-time unrestricted navigation and live information visualization. The proposed strategy is based on the use two distinct and complementary models: a structural model and an appearance model. These two models are combined together in order to obtain a complete 3D representation.
